About Dr. Harris
Dr. Mark Harris is a general dentist joining Dentistry of the Carolinas, bringing clinical expertise in restorative dentistry, removable prosthodontics, and oral surgery. A proud Charlotte native, Dr. Harris was born and raised right here in the community he now serves. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from NC State University in 2021 before returning home to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at East Carolina University in 2026.
Dr. Harris pursued dentistry with a hope to give back to the community that shaped him. He is deeply passionate about the patient and doctor relationship and looks forward to establishing roots in Charlotte as a trusted general dentist.
During dental school, Dr. Harris dedicated significant time to serving others through volunteer dental care. He served in Missions of Mercy clinics, contributed to the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation’s Board, and volunteered many hours at Wake Smiles Dental Clinic in Raleigh. Now back in Charlotte, he is eager to find new ways to serve his home community.
When he is not in the office, Dr. Harris can be found watching and playing sports. Basketball, football, and tennis are a few of his favorites. He also enjoys playing guitar and cooking. A fun fact: Dr. Harris is a fraternal twin! He and his wife were married in May 2026 and are excited to put down roots together in Charlotte.
