About Dr. Rubenstein
Dr. Dustin Rubenstein is a general dentist joining Dentistry of the Carolinas, bringing a comprehensive skill set in restorative dentistry, crown and bridge services, preventative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and dental surgery. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Dr. Rubenstein earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Boston University in 2021, where he developed a specialization in Ecology driven by his lifelong passion for animals and the environment. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, the state dental school of New Jersey, in 2026.
Dr. Rubenstein’s path to dentistry was shaped early by his childhood dentist, whom he greatly admired for his joyful and energetic chairside manner. Shadowing him every summer throughout high school only deepened Dr. Rubenstein’s passion for the field. Today, he thrives on patient interaction and the problem-solving that comes with providing excellent dental care.
A fun fact about Dr. Rubenstein: he studied abroad in Germany for a semester during college! Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, traveling, playing tennis, raising his two cats, and playing chess. He recently relocated to Charlotte in 2026 and is excited to put down roots in the community alongside his fiancé.
