Dr. Amiya Cunningham is a Charlotte-area native who chose dentistry after seeing firsthand how oral health can impact overall health and self-confidence. She is passionate about educating patients, helping them understand their treatment options, and empowering them to feel confident and informed about their oral health.
Dr. Cunningham earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, where she also completed her undergraduate studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and minor in Mathematics. Throughout her training, she actively involved in research, community outreach, and providing care to underserved populations across North Carolina, including volunteering with NC Mission of Mercy clinics.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society, and she is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cunningham enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and relaxing with a good book.
