About Dr. Major
Dr. Alex Major is a general dentist joining Dentistry of the Carolinas’ East Charlotte location, bringing a passion for sports dentistry, aesthetic and restorative care, and oral surgery. A Boston native raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Major earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a concentration in Medicinal Chemistry from Wake Forest University in 2022, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Ohio State University in 2026.
During dental school, Dr. Major was honored to serve as the student team athletics dentist for all Ohio State sports, an experience that deepened his commitment to sports dentistry and patient-centered care. He completed his final year rotations at practices throughout the Columbus area, gaining broad clinical experience before relocating to the Charlotte area in 2026.
Outside the office, Dr. Major enjoys golf, traveling, trying new restaurants, and cheering on Wake Forest athletics and the Cincinnati Bengals. A fun fact: he has lived in five different states! He is also committed to giving back. Through the Give Kids a Smile program, he has donated sports dentistry mouthguards to local high schools in Ohio and looks forward to continuing similar community involvement in Charlotte.
